Shalani Taylor -  Shalani is ecstatic to be the co-owner of Camp Star Bound year. She has been with Camp Star Bound since she was 16 and loves everything the camps stands for. She began dancing at the age of  five in all types of genres. Shalani is 22 years old and is graduate of Xavier University in New Orleans, Louisiana where she received her B.S. degree in public health science.  She was a professional dancer with Reno Dance Company for numerous years, a part of the Gold Star Dance Team in college, and has taught young girls at Centre Stage School of Dance for three years. She is proficient in tap, jazz, lyrical, ballet, hip hop, mime, and pointe. Shalani is a well-rounded dancer who has performed in some of the following shows: Broadway Blast, Movin’ to Motown, Rhythm of the Night, Cinderella, Coppelia, Hairspray and many more including starring as Clara in the Nutcracker.  She can’t wait to have an amazing time and inspire kids with her immense talent!
Dana Taylor- has been in the Reno area for nearly 30 years. She moved to Reno to advance her singing career and decided to stay after starting a family. Dana is an accomplished singer and has been singing publicly since she was four years old. She was a jazz major at Hampton University and there, she was afforded the opportunity to sing with such musical greats as Lionel Richie, Phyllis Hyman, Roy Ayres, Stevie Wonder and famed jazz musicians Wynton and Bradford Marsalis. Dana is currently minster of music at her church, Greater Light Christian Center, and has 26 years of experience working as sales coordinator for Cashman Equipment Company. She is the proud mother of three children (Shalani, James and Tre’) and grandmother of two (Dontavian and Nye’alah). Dana, lovingly called “Mom,” by many of the youths she interacts with, has a heart to see young people blossom and thrive in the arts.

Cindy Garcia: Cindy was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada and moved to the Reno/Sparks area 15 years ago.  She always dreamed about helping people when she was a child and now she's lucky enough to be living her dream!  She is currently employed by the Washoe County School District and loves getting the opportunity to work with children on a daily basis.  In her spare time Cindy loves spending time with her family, including her husband Glenn, her daughter Brittany and her sons, Johnny and Brandon.  They love camping and jet skiing!  Cindy is also a huge dog lover and is her neighborhoods "Dog Watcher".  She has a big heart and always gives as much as she can.  Cindy is so happy to be part of the Camp Star Bound Family!
Darby Beckwith- Vocal/Musical Theater Instructor: Darby is thrilled to be returning to Camp Starbound! She has been performing since she was four years old, and is currently obtaining a BFA in musical theatre at Ohio Northern University. Her favorite credits include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Princess Fiona in Shrek The Musical, Luisa in The Fantasticks, Gertrude McFuzz (2015) and Mayzie la Bird (2013) in Seussical, and the Fairy Godmother in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. She was active in band, choir, and drama throughout high school, and was honored to be the Northern Nevada Honor Choir Soprano Section Leader in 2015. Darby has performed all over the country, from Disneyland to Chicago, and loves to share her passion for performing with the next generation of artists. 
Kaytlain Densford - Hip Hop Instructor: Kaytlain started her journey of dance at age 10 when her mother brought her to a studio called DanceSpirit in Carson City, Nevada. She danced there for 8 years taking ballet, tap, hip hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, and pointe, until the studio unfortunately closed. Within that time she was on the company team and competed at several competitions. She has performed at Disneyland twice as well as on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. At the age of 15 she took on a role as the hip hop teacher at the studio, due to the lack of one, and found her true love for hip hop. When she was promoted to a teacher, she started to explore and moved to Reno, Nevada and performed in Artown performances for several studios and also at age 18 started teaching choreography for Artown shows. Now she teaches at TNT&PDC Cheer and Dance studio in Reno, where she has her own hip hop team that performs monthly. She is also currently choreographing for their upcoming Artown show. She is a junior at the University of Nevada and an Early Childhood Education teacher at Renown Hospital. She wants to continue to teach and spread her love and style of hip hop everywhere. 
Tess Dusich- Tap/Lyrical Instructor: Tess is back at Camp Star Bound! Tess has been dancing professionally for 10 years. She has served many principle roles in a variety of shows, such as Anna in Frozen the Ballet, Cinderella in the ballet, Swanilda in Coppelia, Clara in The Nutcracker and much more. She serves as an Assistant Director of the Reno Dance Company where she helps organize/choreograph shows, costumes, finances, etc. She has had a strong passion for dance ever since she was three years old and she loves sharing her talent with the campers here at Camp Star Bound.
Rachel Wilkerson-Ballet/Contemporary Instructor: 
 Rachel is so excited to be teaching this year at Camp Star Bound! This has been her dream since she first attended camp in 2012. She started dancing and performing locally at the age of three. Rachel's favorite roles include Millie Dillmount in Thoroughly Modern Millie, and Elle Woods in Legally Blonde. She has also performed in the dance troupe of many shows with Western Nevada Musical Theater Company such as The Music Man, Mary Poppins, and Beauty and the Beast. For the past 4 years she has choreographed many dances for her high school's dance program including six large production numbers and four contemporary. Rachel has also contributed choreography for Youth Theater Carson city's musicals for 3 years. This fall, she will be attending The University of Nevada Reno studying Elementary Education and Dance . 
John Mojica- Jazz Instructor 
At the age of 15, John began his on and off training in the style of Hip Hop. By the time he was nearly 18 he was offered a scholarship to study all styles of dance at Dance City Dance Academy in Sparks, NV. He quickly became part of the competition team and competed at various national competitions such as Spotlight and Starbound, where he even received a judge’s award. Around the age of 20, John became a member of the Reno Dance Company. He has been featured in numerous productions such as, Icons & Idols, Dance to the Music, Cinderella, The Nutcracker, Coppelia, Full Body Rock, Rock This Country, and The Frozen Ballet. Amongst these various productions, he has danced both lead roles and multiple principle roles. John currently teaches several classes in the styles of Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet and Tap at The Reno Dance Company and Art in Motion, where he is the Artistic Director for their Teen Performance Group.

Dylan Shirey- Acting Instructor:
 Dylan is over the moon to be joining the Camp Star Bound family. Born and raised in Carson City, Nevada, Dylan has been performing since he was seven years old and has been in many productions in the Northern Nevada area, California, and Iowa. Dylan was heavily involved with the choir, musical theatre, drama, school and community musicals and plays, as well as honor choir. He studied Musical Theatre at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. He has training in stage voice and singing in classical, musical theatre, and contemporary styles. Also, he has training in many different styles of acting, and movement styles such as La Ban, Le Coq, Alexander Technique, yoga, Neutral and Larval Mask. Some of his favorite theatre credits include: Hysterium in “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” Dr. Finache in “A Flea in Her Ear,” LeFou in “Beauty and the Beast,” and other various roles in other productions such as “The Rocky Horror Show,” “Fiorello!” “Little Shop of Horrors,” and much more! He’s excited to teach acting at camp this year and cannot wait to have an amazing time!
